Could Killington Resort, VT, Open Tomorrow?

We’re still waiting for an official opening day announcement from Killington Resort, but the fact that it’s selling lift tickets for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 16th, would suggest that opening day is tomorrow.

If it does open tomorrow, it will be the first resort in Vermont to open for the 2022/23 winter season. Up to 8” of fresh snow is in the forecast too.

The Beast of the East fired up its snow guns over a month ago to begin snowmaking in preparation for the start of ski season and the 2022 Women’s World Cup race on Thanksgiving weekend.

Last season Killington opened on November 5th, the first east coast resort to do so. It remained open through June 4th, 2022, its latest closing in 25 years, celebrating the ‘longest season in the east.’
