We are in unchartered waters with the COVID-19 pandemic. People are dying and the U.S. stock market recently saw its worst day since 1987. Some are saying that we could be experiencing the Spanish Flu and The Great Depression at the same time. It’s scary, to say the least.

However, we as people will come out of this stronger than ever. And while most North American ski resorts closed down for the season due to the pandemic over a week ago, there were a few who powered on. But no more…

The last man standing, Lookout Pass Ski Area, ID announced yesterday that they will be following the government-issued 21-day ‘stay at home’ order and shutting their doors. They had originally indicated they would remain open and conclude their season as normal.

We are following the Governors Stay at Home for 21 days order! Mtn is closed!

Shredding Lookout Pass just this week.

The day before, Teton Pass Ski Area, MT also stopped their lifts turning:

Teton is calling it for the 2019/2020 season! A huge thanks to everyone who supported the efforts this year. We could not and would not have done it with out all of you.

Stay healthy!

So there you have it, people. March 26th and the 19/20 ski season in North America is done. Time to stay home, stay fit and healthy, and book those trips to Argentina and Chile this summer…
