It has snowed every day for the past 50 days at Eaglecrest Ski Area in Alaska. That’s every day for the month of February and over two feet in the last week alone! To top it off, another 8-10″ of fresh snow is in today’s forecast. It just. Keeps. Coming.

Over the course of 2019-2020 thus far, Eaglecrest Ski Area has received 333″ at its summit and currently has a summit snowpack of 159″. Eaglecrest said on their website regarding the epic snow streak:

Sincere apologies, folks! Yesterday morning we mistakenly reported the snow streak’s dramatic conclusion! Our pesky snow reporter didn’t wait for Ski Patrol’s official summit measurement, which was in fact 0.4″ of new snow in the previous 24 hours.

It may feel like a technicality, but the streak continues! NOW 50 CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITH SNOWFALL!

Eaglecrest’s average annual snowfall over the past ten years is 320″, including a record season in 2011-12 with 640”. The 2019-20 season total is now at 333”.

Share some of that with us down here in California, eh?
