January 2017 Is The Snowiest Month On Record At Mammoth Mountain

As of today, 246″ of snow has fallen at Mammoth’s Main Lodge since 2017 began. Incase you thought you read that wrong, that is 20 FEET and 6 INCHES of snow in just 24 days. That is an average of 10.25″ inches of snow every day for 24 days. The Main Lodge received 58″ of snowfall over the weekend and 6″ in the past 24 hours, which has brought their season total snowfall to 350″ of snow at the base, imagine what the totals are on top of the mountain.
