Lake Louise Ski Resort in the Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, announced that they are opening today, Friday, November 3, 2023. The opening today is a week ahead of schedule due to an abundance of natural snowfall in the last week as well as dedicated snowmaking by the mountain operations team.
Here’s what’s to expect on opening day:
- Fresh snow! 7 cm of fresh snow in the last 24 hours and more in the forecast
- Free t-shirts for the first 200 skiers or riders on the lift
- Early season ticket prices with up to 50% off
Lifts & Slopes
Glacier Express Chair will open at 9:00 am providing access to Wiwaxy, Bald Eagle, and part of Easy Street. Combined they will offer the longest open run in the Canadian Rockies! Grizzly Gondola is expected to open sometime this weekend. Watch Lake Louise’s conditions page for daily updates.
Terrain Park
Stomp out your first tricks of the season on a variety of table top jumps, boxes, rails, plus a bonus feature.

Dining Options
