Many skiers, snowboarders, and outdoor enthusiasts dream of owning a home on Lake Tahoe for the natural beauty of the area, as well as its close proximity to the recreational playground it provides. There is now another listing on the market for home seekers to consider, and the sellers are asking an even $100 million for it.

The listing is the most expensive listing in Nevada, and if it sells for the asking price—or close to it—it will set a record for the most expensive sale price in state history.

The home was built approximately 20 years ago for around $26 million. It includes four acres, 20,000 square feet, and 400 feet of lakeside access. It also boasts the only private marina on the lake. You can view a video slideshow of the listing here.

Nevada has become increasingly popular for the uber-rich because the state has no income tax, no estate tax, and relatively low property tax. This has made the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe very attractive compared to California. It is not uncommon for homes to be listed in the tens of millions of dollars, but this is the first home to break into the nine-figure range.

  1. I came this close to buying this place. Then I found out Hopalong Cassidy killed himself here. Blew it for me. Bow and arrow. Very weird.

  2. Lack of supply make Tahoe real estate EXTREMELY valuable.

California’s taxes and socialist policies is turning Income Village into a mini-Monaco tax haven for CA Billionaires.

  3. I get it….but I don’t get it. The origins and purity of Tahoe were always threatened from the beginning but this takes it to another level…2022! We all enjoy the Lake at every turn but the momentum of elite societies are establishing their elbow space. Enjoy it while you can!
