Lindsey Vonn partial tore the reconstructed ACL in her right knee during her crash while ski race training at Copper Mountain, CO yesterday.  She also suffered a mild strain in her right knee, minor facial abrasions, and a bruised shoulder blade in yesterday’s crash.

Lindsey tore her ACL and MCL in that same right knee in her vicious crash in Austria last February 5th, 2012.

“Lindsey will pursue aggressive physical therapy and will determine the next time she is able to compete after seeing how she responds to the treatment.” – Lewis Kay, Lindsey Vonn’s publicist

There are only 78 days until the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.  It would be very difficult for Lindsey to be back in ski racing form before the games in Sochi.

Lindsey had planned to race in the World Cup downhill on November 29th in Beaver Cree, Colorado and that was what she was training for when she crashed yesterday.

Lindsey ripping.

This is especially unfortunate as Lindsey was feeling strong before the accident yesterday.

I definitely feel like I’m 100% in super-G.  Now it’s a matter of getting more comfortable with downhill and getting more training days in giant slalom.” – Lindsey Vonn, November 8th, 2013

We’re hoping for the best for Lindsey and we’ll keep you updated on everything to do with this latest injury and her recovery.
