Report from June 20th, 2019

NOTE:  Mammoth is now open from 7:30am – 1pm daily

Today was another terrific day at Mammoth Mountain, CA.

Mammoth is still sitting on a 95″ base on its summit and there is deep snow everywhere.

They still have a sweet park set up with 3 terrain park zones:

  • Lower Main Park – 18 jibs, 2 large jumps and a snow bowl
  • Forest Trail – 10 jibs and 3 medium jumps
  • Disco Playground- 5 jibs

Today I ripped around by myself and had a ball.

Chair 23 bumps are steep, slushy, fun, and smoothed out up high.

Those smooth bumps lead you right into the 4′ deep wiggle that is a strength training pump track that will leave you breathing hard and stoked.

Once the racers depart each day around noon, it’s great to romp top-to-bottom laps down there well-salted race runs and enjoy some high-speed wind in your hair runs.

It’s also great that the upper gondola is back online now as you can enjoy top-to-bottom runs via one fantastic lift with spectacular summit views and access to the very fun Hangman’s Chute.

Chair 23 bumps and wiggle, top-to-bottom gondola laps, 3 park zones, and salted-race tracks all contribute to make Mammoth the King of Spring right now.

This weekend is gonna fun.
