Massive snowfall has plastered the Chugach Mountains this season, and Pulseline Adventure is reporting incredible heli-skiing conditions during its first week of operations. Valdez, Alaska—at sea level—has received more than 25 feet of snow to date. Typically, Valdez averages 300 inches in an entire snow year, but this season the average was surpassed by March 1.

Meanwhile, nearly 47 feet of snow has already fallen at Thompson Pass (elevation 2,500 feet). Thompson Pass typically averages around 500 inches, and this was exceeded in mid-February 2024.

Pulseline’s heli-skiing zones typically receive two to three times that of Thompson Pass–so it’s absolutely deep out in the prime ski terrain. This is definitely the season to go heli-skiing in Valdez, Alaska, and Pulseline has some amazing opportunities—and killer deals for some core weeks to go heliskiing this year. We are sure these deals won’t last long with conditions up there at the moment!
