Whistler is looking down the throat of one big, mean, monsterous storm right now. ย Itโ€™s already hitting and Whistler has already gotten a few centimeters.

A lot of places in North America have already gotten snow this year: ย Tahoe, Mammoth, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Hampshire, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, more.ย ย People are already skiing in Colorado and the Alps… ย but this forecast for Whistler is… ย well itโ€™s…

The forecast for Whistler is ridiculous: ย 130cms (51 inches / 4.25 feet) between now and Tuesday. ย Whoa. ย Whistler doesnโ€™t generally get big dumps like this. ย They usually get a decent amount of snow everyday, but this is just one good old fashioned Dump.

Whistler-Blackcomb Alpine Forecast as of 10am on September 28th, 2013 showing 130cms in the next 4 days.

Whistler is about jump into the fast lane towards winter. ย Whistler often gets these early season snows and they stay. ย Many times before theyโ€™ve sent Mike Douglas and friends up in a heli to get a few laps in and do some filming just to get us completely freaked out for winter.

We hope they do it again this year. ย It works.
