RENO, Nev. (Dec. 8,ย 2021) โย Mt. Rose Ski Tahoeย announced it will open for the season on Friday, Dec 10 for skiing andย snowboarding. ย
Top to bottom skiing andย snowboarding will be available starting at 9:00 a.m. from the Mainย Lodge. The Northwest Express lift is scheduled toย operate serving intermediateย and advanced terrain only. Open trails will include Upper Northwestย Passage down through the Kit Carson Bowl.ย Beginner terrain is notย currently available.
Thanks to continuedย investments that have expanded the resortโs already robust snowmaking system,ย the shift to colder temperatures willย allow Mt. Rose to take advantage of the conditionsย to make snow and get the season underway.

The Lodgepole Cafรฉ and Timbers Barย will also be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. All parkingย will be at the Main Lodge.ย Ski School instruction and equipment rentals willย not be available, but will be offered as open terrain increases.
