Ever wonder how much daylight other areas of North America see on the winter solstice?
This very cool maps shows us exactly how much light every zone of North America sees on the shortest day of the year in late December.
Everyone things Anchorage, AK must have almost no daylight this time of year, but really they’re getting over 5 hours of daylight at the very minimum.
For the Lower 48, days are never any shorter than 8 hours.
Not so bad, really.
Happy Winter Solstice!
