Snow in June?

Yep you read the title right.

A Gulf of Alaska Storm will bring snow to the Idaho this weekend.

NOAA is talking about snow levels as low as 6,000-feet.

“We’re back to having sunny and dry weather for the next few days, but current projections show a drastic change coming by Friday morning. A weather system brewing near the Gulf of Alaska will migrate into the Pacific Northwest by Friday morning. This will bring thunderstorms, strong wings, and maybe even some snow as low as 6000 ft over the weekend.” – NOAA Pocatello, ID today

NOAA is talking about snow down to 8,000-feet in Lake Tahoe, CA/NV as well this weekend:

"With falling temperatures aloft snow levels are likely to drop to
less than 8000 feet north of Highway 50 Saturday. While the models
are trending a bit drier late Friday into Saturday there remains a
chance that higher elevations will pick up some accumulating snow
with this system." - NOAA Reno, NV today
