3 storms are forecast to march across California in the next week dropping up to 2 feet of new snow by Christmas Day. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the Sierra today that calls for 4-8″ of new snow. Snow levels will be increasing with each storm beginning around 3,000-feet today and ending around 7,000-feet on Tuesday.
“The wet weather pattern continues as Pacific weather systems continue to move through northern California. A weather system moving through today will bring rain and mountain snow combined with gusty winds. Snow levels with this system will be fairly low beginning at around 3000 feet. A second system moving through on Monday and Tuesday will bring more rain, gusty winds and mountain snow but this warmer system will come with higher snow levels.” – NOAA Sacramento, CA today
