NOAA: Winter Storm Watch: 8-12″ Forecast For Alta, UT Saturday & Sunday

A cold front will bring snow to the Wasatch on Saturday, lasting through Sunday, bringing double-digit snow totals. A winter storm watch begins Saturday morning, until Sunday afternoon, for the Wasatch and Alta Ski Area.

Saturday night will see the most snow, with 6-10″ of snow accumulation possible.

Saturday Night: Snow. Low around 20. Windy, with a west wind around 46 mph,
 with gusts as high as 60 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow

The storm may bring up to a foot of new snow or more to Alta and the surrounding Wasatch, building up Alta’s base. Alta expects to open for the 2019-2020 winter season on November 23d.
