Christmas is coming a touch early for Snowshoe Mountain, WV and much of the Appalachian Mountains and Blue Ridge Mountains of the East Coast tonight and tomorrow.

NOAA is forecasting 4-8″ of snow to fall tonight and tomorrow.

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches across Raleigh, Fayette, and Nicholas counties. 4 to 8 inches expected across Webster, Pocahontas, and Randolph counties. Locally strong and gusty winds may also occur at times tonight into Saturday morning.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches
  across Raleigh, Fayette, and Nicholas counties. 4 to 8 inches
  expected across Webster, Pocahontas, and Randolph counties.
  Locally strong and gusty winds may also occur at times tonight
  into Saturday morning.

* WHERE...Southeast Nicholas, Southeast Webster, Northwest
  Pocahontas, Northwest Randolph and Southeast Randolph Counties.

* WHEN...Now through 4 PM EST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could become very difficult due to
  snow covered roads. Gusty winds could create low visibility
  due to blowing snow. Winds may also cause tree limbs to fall
  resulting in isolated power outages.
