NOAA: Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Wyoming | 6-12″ of Snow Tonight – Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Wyoming. It’s in effect Tonight – Wednesday morning. High winds and consistent snowfall are forecasted to impact the area throughout that time.

Wyoming:

  • 6-12″ of Snow Tonight – Wednesday Morning

“Light snow today will become steadier and heaver tonight and continue into Wednesday morning before becoming lighter and more intermittent Wednesday afternoon.”

Grand Targhee Resort, WY and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY already have over 130″ of snow on the season, so this storm could boost those already-impressive numbers.

Snow levels are forecasted to hover just below 6,000ft before dropping below 4,000ft Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-10 day outlook calls for above average temperatures and above average precipitation in Wyoming.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to noon MST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
