NOAA just released their temperature and precipitation outlook for the USA yesterday.
This outlook appear to continue a la nina pattern with above average precipitation forecast in the north and warmer temps in the south.
NOAA has declared that we are currently in a la nina year.
JANUARY PRECIPITATION:
This January, NOAA is forecasting above average precipitation for the Pacific Northwest, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
They’re forecasting below average precipitation in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
JANUARY TEMPERATURES:
This January, NOAA is forecasting above average temperatures for California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, & New Mexico.
They’re forecasting below average temperatures just about no where in ski country USA.
WHERE TO SKI THIS JANUARY?
From this outlook, it’s looking like the Pacific Northwest, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming will be the places to be.
