Squaw Will Replace Siberia Chair with High Speed Six-Pack Squaw Valley, USA will be replacing the Siberia high speed quad chair with a high speed six-pack chair this summer. Squaw filed for a permit to replace the chair in 2015 back in October 2014. Siberia is a legendary chair and is rumored to be the first ever high speed quad in the USA. Siberia gains access to the world famous Palisades and the Chimney at Squaw. Siberia also allows for access via the Reverse Traverse to Headwall when the Headwall chair isn’t running. Squaw Valley Conditions Report: 33″ in Past 7 Days + Siberia & Shirley Lake Open on Saturday Squaw Valley ski resort in Lake Tahoe, CA opened last week on November 26th, 2014. They’ve had the Gold Coast chair open and nothing else and it’s been fun. Squaw Valley Files to Replace Siberia Chairlift in 2015 The Siberia chairlift at Squaw Valley, CA is the oldest detachable quad chairlift in the USA. Squaw has requested a Conditional Use Permit to replace the Siberia chair in 2015. If this permit is granted, Squaw would rip out the old Siberia chair and replace it with a high speed six-pack chairlift.
