Palisades Tahoe, CA, Announces Terrain Expansion at Both Mountains This Weekend

Palisades Tahoe, California, opened for the ’23/24 season on Wednesday, November 22, with the First Venture chairlift in the base area. By Saturday, the resort had expanded its terrain to include Treeline Cirque to mid-station at Alpine. A week later, the resort announced its latest terrain expansion today.

🚨 OPERATIONS UPDATE: TERRAIN EXPANSION AT BOTH MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND 🚨

Everybody thank a snowmaker or snowcat operator! Thanks to their hard work and some cold temperatures this week, we will be expanding our terrain offering.

STARTING SATURDAY: At Palisades, the Funitel, Gold Coast, Red Dog, and Resort Chair will open. At Alpine, Subway, Meadow, and the Big Carpet will be added to the schedule as well. All ski lift operations will be 9am-4pm.

The Base to Base Gondola will be also be open for daily operations from 9am to 4pm starting Friday, December 1st, and the Aerial Tram will be open for sightseeing from 10am-3pm this weekend.

LIFT AND TERRAIN UPDATES: PALISADES 

• First Venture is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm and still has Terrain Park features.
• The Aerial Tram will be open from 10 am – 3 pm Friday through Sunday for sightseeing only.
• The Base to Base Gondola will be open for daily operations from 9 am to 4 pm starting Friday, December 1.
• The Funitel, Gold Coast, Red Dog, and Resort Chair will open on Saturday for daily operations from 9 am-4 pm. Funitel is download only. No Mountain Run yet!

LIFT AND TERRAIN UPDATES: ALPINE

• Treeline Cirque is open to mid-station daily from 9 am-4 pm.
• Subway, Meadow, and the Big Carpet will be added to the schedule starting Saturday, December 2, for daily operations from 9 am to 4 pm.

Base to Base Gondola Schedule: 

• Open November 25th-26 (Saturday/Sunday)
• Closed November 27-December 1 (Monday-Friday)
• Open December 2-3 (Saturday/Sunday)
• Closed from December 4-7 (Monday-Thursday)
• Open Friday, December 8, likely for the season

REMINDER: PARKING RESERVATIONS

Parking reservations are required in all parking lots at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday and Sunday this week. Free reservations open on Tuesday, November 28, with inventory releases at 12 pm and 7 pm. You can get more information and reserve your spot at parkpalisadestahoe.com. Reservations are not required after 1 pm.
