Palisades Tahoe opens for the 2021-22 winter season tomorrow, Friday, October 29. This will mark only the third time in its 72-year history that the California resort formerly known as Squaw Valley will open in October.
Palisades Tahoe shared today that it will run seven lifts Friday-Sunday, 9 am-3 pm, starting tomorrow. The lifts include:
- Funitel
- Gold Coast
- Shirley Lake
- Big Blue
- Aerial Tram
- Mountain Meadow
- Bailey’s Beach
The resort’s Belmont terrain park will be open on Saturday with 9 features. Palisades Tahoe wrote in an Instagram post:
It’s Halloween weekend, so bring your costume and come make some early season turns with us. 🎃⛷👻🏂 The Village shops and restaurants will be open—stick around for Opening Weekend specials.
Please note: temps have warmed since the storm earlier this week, so snow conditions will be variable, and grooming is very limited. Be aware that early season obstacles exist.
Huge thanks to all our employees for hustling to make this happen. We’ll see you tomorrow!
And so it begins!
