Park City, UT plans to break the record for the longest shot ski during their 4th annual Shot Ski Event on October 12. Breckenridge, CO set the current record during the town’s Ullr Fest in January 2019. The event included 1,299 participants using 433 skis spanning 2,304 feet down Breckenridge’s Main Street. Park City plans to have 1,310 people participating in the event.

Park City Sunrise Rotary Club will organize the event, and High West Distillery will fill the glasses for the second year in a row. The first two years of the event were sponsored by Wasatch Brew Pub, one of the participating locations of this year’s after-party.

“The Park City community support of this event continues to grow every year, and we have no doubt we’ll be the new shot ski record holders come fall,” said Park City Sunrise Rotary Club member Connie Nelson. “We are excited about our ambitious goal to raise $40,000 for our grant program and see how this fun, lively event will go on to serve our community.”

All of the proceeds of the shot ski event will go to the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club Grant Program. Last year’s event raised 29,474.57, and this year’s goal is even higher. A $25 ticket not only secures a spot on the shot ski, but it also comes with a High West drink token. The tokens are accepted at all the participating after-party locations including High West Distillery, No Name Saloon, OP Rockwell, The Cabin and Wasatch Brew Pub.
