Perisher Resort in Australia announced yesterday they will be extending the season until Sunday 13 October, for the longest season in memory.

Conditions are incredible right now with the natural snow base hitting 89″. Skiers and boarders will now be able to turn and burn the sensational snow until Sunday 13 October, that’s all the way to the end of the October NSW School Holidays.

“It has been a tremendous season at Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham. Snow conditions have been sensational, and we are thrilled to have extended Hotham until Sunday 6 October and now Perisher until Sunday 13 October. It’s great news for our Epic Australia Pass holders, and our guests who will now be able to enjoy spring skiing and boarding until the end of the October school holiday period” said Pete Brulisauer, Perisher Chief Operating Officer.

Perisher’s early opening, Friday 31 May will result in the 2019 season being 136 days, the longest in memory.
