Ski Season Starts in Oregon: Timberline Lodge and Mt. Hood Meadows Open this Weekend!

Timberline Lodge Ski Area will be the first ski area in Oregon to open for the 2015/2016 ski season. They plan to operate Bruno Lift from 9:00am-4:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

“Weather and conditions permitting, we are hoping to have a limited opening with Bruno on Saturday & Sunday, 9-4. In the event of an opening, early season conditions will exist. Please stay tuned for continuous updates.”- Timberline Lodge

While it’s just a limited bunny hill opening it is good to know that Timberline Lodge has some coverage up there. After last season, they lost a lot of their glacier snow up high. Mt. Hood needs a lot of snow if they’re going to continue summer skiing this year. Everything helps.

Update: Mt. Hood Meadows is also opening this weekend. Buttercup Lift will be open with an early-season Jib Park from 3:00-7:00pm this Saturday. Admission is $10.00, or free with a Mt. Hood Meadows season pass.
