Snowbird Press Release:

9:24 pm Update, March 14

At Snowbird our top priority – the health and safety of our staff, guests and local community – remains our top priority and for this reason Snowbird will suspend all on-mountain operations starting tomorrow, March 15, through March 22, during which time we will continue to monitor the situation and reassess our approach for the rest of the season

The suspension will include all lift operations, on-mountain food and beverage and rental services. Snowbird lodging and village restaurant facilities will remain open to serve the guests who are on site.

“Tonight we made the excruciating decision to suspend our on-mountain operations as a necessary step for us to take in support of our community’s efforts to limit the spread and risks associated with COVID-19,” said Dave Fields Snowbird President and General Manager. “We understand and apologize for the significant impact this will have on our customers and employees.”

Given the extenuating circumstances related to COVID-19, Snowbird will be working with guests to modify reservations. We anticipate heavy call volume over the next several days and appreciate guests’ patience as we work hard to respond to all inquiries.
