Banff Sunshine Village, Alberta, has wrapped up its snowiest March in eight years, with a remarkable 167 cm (65 inches) of fresh snow. This milestone sets the stage for an unforgettable spring ski season at Canada’s highest ski resort, which boasts an extended season running until May 19, 2025.
Spring conditions are already drawing skiers and snowboarders to carve through Canada’s Best Snow while enjoying warm sunshine and lively après-ski events. Visitors should stay on marked trails as snowpack conditions change throughout the day.
Untracked Concert Series Brings Music to the Mountains
The highly anticipated Untracked Concert Series, presented by Coors Light, kicked off on April 5 and runs every weekend through May 19. Featuring Canadian bands and DJs performing in the Mad Trappers Beer Garden, this event pairs live music with themed weekends. Guests dressed in theme receive discounts on lift tickets.
Upcoming themes include ’80s/’90s Neon Après (April 12–13), Rock and Roll (April 19–20), Western Weekend (April 26–27), and Movie Character Weekend (May 3–4). The festivities culminate in Slush Cup Monday on May 19, a signature event that draws crowds across North America.
Spring Events Highlight Community Spirit
In addition to concerts, Banff Sunshine hosts unique spring events like Pro Bowl Riding with Newschoolers (April 4–6) and the charity-focused What the Huck event on April 12. Proceeds from What the Huck will benefit the Jamie Blain Memorial Foundation, which supports mental health initiatives.
