Squaw Valley ski resort in California was pretty darned fun yesterday. I expect a repeat of that today and tomorrow.
We hiked up the Palisades first thing and cruised down the Kitchen Wall into Sun Bowl and it was a blast.
Kitchen Wall was soft and chalky, Sun Bowl was corny and lightly slushy.
Snow that was in the shade stayed pretty hard yesterday.
There was a temperature inversion and it was pretty darned warm up top. Musta been in the 50s.
Groomers skied great and the Emigrant Chairline was actually really fun and funny.
Honestly, I had a blast skiing with buddies at Squaw yesterday.Â
This weekend at Squaw shouldn’t be too crowded for an MLK weekend and the forecast is for fun in the sun.

Can you even ski out of sunbowl without walking on dirt? Looking forward to hiking that tomorrow.
You can. That traverse is still in.
