Swell Saturday: Deep Barrel to 20-Foot Alley Oop!

Jordy Smith is a pro surfer from South Africa who surfs on the World Surfing League.  On a down day last week, Jordy went yard on a wave in Australia called North Point.

He gets a ridiculously deep barrel, then bottom turns out of the wave and fing launches himself into outer space.  Jordy travels about 20-feet through the air doing an Alley-Oop before landing perfecting back on the wave and surfing on.  Unreal.

What’s even cooler is that Jordy is a big dude.  He’s 6’3″, 190 pounds and can surf and fly like that.
