Colorado has Wettest May on Record | Wettest in 121Years Colorado just had its wettest May on in 121 years of record keeping. Its wettest May since 1895. It was also the wettest May in the lower 48 of the USA in 121. That above average precipitation lead to a lot of powder in the month of May in Colorado. Arapahoe Basin ski resort in Colorado got 54 inches of snow in May bringing their season snowfall now to 338″, which is 98% of their average snowfall (records go back to 1978).
