Mosquito Fire in Placer County, CA, Doubled in Size Overnight | Blaze Started by PG&E Faulty Power Line The Mosquito Fire burning in Placer County, CA, exploded to 25,108 acres yesterday and crossed into El Dorado County, according to fire authorities. Montana Ski Area Under Threat From Wildfire Bear Paw Ski Bowl, a small independent ski hill located in Havre, Montana, is under threat by a major wildfire burning on Mount Baldy.
