European ONLY Freeride World Tour Causes Stir for Athletes | by Griffin Post This past April, the Freeride World Tour announced that its 2015 tour would have zero North American stops. Is it an insult to North American freeskiers? Yes. Griffin Post is a tried and true competitive skier. He’s likely competed in more freeskiing contests than just about anyone anywhere. He’s always been a huge advocate of freeskiing comps, until now. Griffin could no longer hold his tongue and gives us a quality education on just why the Freeride World Tour is so wrong to have robbed North America of any stops on its 2015 [..] SnowBrains | June 27, 2014 2 Comments

VIDEO: Best of Freeride World Tour @ Snowbird, UT Snowbird skiers and riders clearly missed having big mountain competitions at their home mountain. The snowbird spectator crowd is by far the rowdiest, most costumed, drunkest, and funnest crowd at any big mountain comp on Earth. We love that this video shows the ‘bird in all it’s glory: skiing hard, partying hard, snowballing hard, along with a deep appreciation for big mountain skiing and riding. We’re going to have to figure out how to get comps going in Utah once more. […] SnowBrains | March 10, 2014 1 Comment
VIDEO: 1st Place Run @ Freeride World Tour @ Snowbird, UT Here’s the 1st place run at the Freeride World Tour at Snowbird, UT yesterday. They had to move to Snowbird because of the lack of snow at Kirkwood. Then, they had to move the venue from North Baldy to Silver Fox due to an 8-foot deep avalanche (biggest inbounds at Snowbird in 20 years). Silver Fox isn’t a big nor very exciting venue, but they had no choice. This winning run only has two airs in it and is mellow by FWT standards, but it is certainly skied well and skied smooth. Congrats Lars! […] SnowBrains | March 6, 2014 0 Comments
