Mammoth, CA Weekend Powder Report: Last Saturday, was a powder day at Mammoth, CA. We watched it snow heavily on the mountain Friday evening on the webcams and knew that Saturday was going to be special. Before bed, we saw about 4″ of new snow on the patio furniture at mid-mountain. We got to Mammoth early on Saturday and grabbed first chair on Chair 23rd. We weren’t disappointed. Mammoth, CA Conditions Report: 3rd Mini-Powder Day of the Week Mammoth experienced its 2nd mini-powder day in a row yesterday – 3rd of the week. 2-3 inches of new snow covered the mountain and the layer underneath the snow was soft. You could ski nearly as fast as you wanted. There were a few more people out than the day before, but it was still mostly vacant.
