6″ of Snow Forecast for Washington & Oregon Today/Tomorrow

The high mountains of Washington and Oregon already got a bit of snow yesterday and today. Tomorrow, those mountains are forecast to get even more snow. NOAA is forecasting up to 6″ of snow above 5,500′ today. That’s crazy for summertime. Fall doesn’t start for 18 more days! Mt. Baker CLOSES Due Lack of Snow:

Mt. Baker ski resort in Washington, normally home to the deepest, most snow in North America/the world, has closed today, March 8th, 2015, due to a lack of snow. They are reporting that they will reopen if/when they get more snow. If they do reopen, it’ll be weekends only. It’s been a rough year in Washington and the current forecast is showing nothing but hot weather. If you have a Mt. Baker season pass you can ski at Mt. Hood Meadows for free for 5 days. After 5 days tickets are only $10. Thanks Mt. Hood Meadows!
