Bariloche, Argentina Conditions Report: A Week of Storms

It’s been a wild week at Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina. It stormed every day this week with some storm days bringing so much wind that the ski resort was unable to open. All those stormed dropped plenty of snow up high. Around 6-feet of snow has fallen in the past week on the upper elevations of Catedral. The ON3P Jeffrey 122 is the ultimate soft snow ski! I skied this ski everyday for the last seven weeks in Japan, and it handles bottomless snow with grace and stability. The tip and tail are playful, making the ski easy to maneuver in tight trees. The 50cm of rocker in the tip allow for effortless flotation in everything from deep blower snow to hot, heavy pow. Additionally, ON3P makes very durable, heavy-duty skis. I somehow managed to take the Jeffrey 122 over plenty of exposed rocks, resulting in very little base damage. If you are looking for an everyday ski, the Jeffrey 122 might not be your best bet. The 122mm waist combined with the softer flex, make the ski mostly powder specific. […]
