NOAA: Snow for High Sierra in California This Weekend

NOAA is Reno, NV is calling for snow above 10,000-feet in Tahoe on Saturday and snow down to 9,500-feet on Sunday.  Snow is also forecast for the highest peaks of the southern Sierra as well as Tioga and Sonora Passes. The decent sized storm forecast to impact Tahoe is hitting right now. NOAA is forecasting 7-15″ of snow in the mountains with some higher accumulations on the higher peaks with snow levels down to 3,500-feet. 6-24″ of Snow for Tahoe Tomorrow

Lake Tahoe just got 4-8″ of snow yesterday. NOAA is now forecasting another 1-2 feet of snow for Tuesday and Wednesday morning. They’re saying 6-12″ above 4,000-feet and 1-2 feet of snow on the higher peaks. NOAA: 8-18″ of Snow for Tahoe Sunday – Tuesday

It’s lining up to be a stormy week in Lake Tahoe, CA. NOAA is calling for 2-6″ of snow on Easter Sunday, then another 6-12″ of snow on Tuesday.
