Troy Caldwell Speaks Out About the Squaw/Alpine Base-to-Base Gondola

Troy Caldwell during our interview with him in May 2014. photo: snowbrains.com

Troy Caldwell, owner of White Wolf (the land between Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows), has spoken out for the first time about the proposed Base-to-Base gondola. To be clear, this “project” so far is only a public statement by Squaw. No proposal has been submitted, no permits granted, no environmental impact reports requested, and no plans at all to move forward. If this project is to move forward, it […]

That seems to be off the table at this point as Squaw and Alpine push for a base to base gondola. […]

RIP Alpine Meadows Website…

SquawAlpine.com's new website for Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley.

Alpine Meadow’s website is officially no more. It was SkiAlpine.com. SkiAlpine.com now redirects you to the new website called SquawAlpine.com that encompasses both ski resort. There aren’t any photos of Alpine on the homepage just yet. It’s quite Squaw for the time being. In 2012, Squaw Valley’s new owners, KSL, bought Alpine Meadows. Since then, KSL has been doing what it can to make the two mountains one. Hopefully, they’ll connect one day via White Wolf. […]
