NOAA: 2-Feet of Snow Forecasted for Tahoe Tuesday & Wednesday

NOAA is forecasting up to 2-feet of new snow for Lake Tahoe this Tuesday and Wednesday. A warm, wet storm will bring heavy precipitation and snow levels around 7,000-feet and higher. This is the exact storm we need to build our snow base at the mid and upper mountain levels. The timing of this storm couldnโ€™t be better. Cโ€™mon Tahoe, this is your year! NOAA Reno: 11/30 4:42PM โ€“ After tonight, there will be a brief break in precipitation Monday and Monday night for most areas as high pressure builds over the Sierra and western Nevada. [โ€ฆ]

Up to 9โ€ณ of New Snow in Tahoeโ€™s High Country This Morning | Photo Tour:

Lake Tahoeโ€™s high country picked up up to 9โ€ณ inches of snow last night in the 2nd storm of a three storm parade. The third storm was forecast to hit tonight and drop about 18โ€ณ of snow. Now, theyโ€™re saying more like 2โ€ณ of snow. The stormโ€™s energy has been pushed north. Regardless, we go some snow out of this storm and every little bit helps for getting white strips of death open all over Tahoe. Heavenly & Northstar open today. Squaw, Mt. Rose, and Kirkwood are trying to open next week. [โ€ฆ]
