Up to 12″ of Snow Forecast for Tahoe This Week

Whoa! Snow? In Tahoe? It’s almost hard to believe at this point. Since we’re just as scared as you are about this forecast, we’re gonna let NOAA do most the talking here. NOAA is forecasting between 6-12″ of snow with snow levels as low as 3,500′ from this storm that is forecast to occur Friday and Saturday. A winter system is expected to drop into the Sierra and western Nevada Friday into Saturday bringing showers to the region. This is a colder system and snow levels will quickly lower to 4000-5000 feet by Friday night into Saturday morning. Accumulating snow is […]

NOAA: 12″ of Snow Forecast for Lake Tahoe This Weekend:

NOAA has issued a Special Weather Statement for Lake Tahoe, CA for this weekend. They are calling for 6-12 inches of snow to fall in Tahoe over the weekend. Rose, and Heavenly are open in Lake Tahoe right now. LATEST FORECAST TRENDS ARE BRINGING IN MORE SNOW AND LOWER […]

NOAA: Halloween Weekend = 14″ of Snow for Lake Tahoe, CA

Jack o'lantern and snow.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. This year, it’s everyone in NorCal’s favorite holiday. C’mon, do I even have to explain why? The Giants just won their 3rd World Series in 5 years & it’s gonna snow 14″ in Tahoe this weekend with snow levels down to 4,500-feet! It truly doesn’t get much better than this if you’re a NorCal resident. Fired up doesn’t even begin to explain it. A Pacific Frontal system is forecast to move into northern California on Friday afternoon with the frontal passage through the central valley expected early Friday evening. Therefore trick or treaters could see fairly wet conditions throughout the evening hours […]
