Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Snow Totals This Morning: Up to 8″ of Snow

Tahoe got a late season storm that is a bit late as at this point, most of the ski resorts in Lake Tahoe are closed. But the five of the big ski resorts are still open and they got decent amounts of snow. Another 6-24″ inches of snow if forecast for Tahoe Tuesday – Wednesday. Too little too late? Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Snowfall Totals | Up to 17″ of New Snow

Tahoe just got its biggest storm of the season. It was a big of a sneaker storm as only 4-12″ were forecasted by NOAA for this entire storm. Squaw has already gotten 12-17″ and it’s still dumping snow up there. The best part of this storm is that it’s cold and snowing to lake level. This is by far the most snow Tahoe has gotten down to lake level this year. NOAA has a winter weather advisory in effect until 8pm tonight. They’re calling for 1-4 more inches of snow above 7,000. Lake Tahoe Storm Totals & Photo Tour | 26″ at Mt. Rose, NV

Mt. Rose ski resort in Nevada was the big winner from this storm and it’s no surprise. Forecasts were saying that below 8,000-feet, this storm was going to drop only rain. Luckily, the storm ended up colder than forecasted and we got some snow all the way down to lake level yesterday. Then, temperatures rose and we got rain on top of that snow at lake level and higher… Mt. Rose never say any rain with their above 8,000-foot base and they’re reveling in 26″ of new snow this morning and it’s still snowing. […]

Tahoe Snow Totals & Photos From Today:

Lake Tahoe got a bit of a storm yesterday. The highest forecasted snow totals were in the 10 inch range and Sugar Bowl is reporting that. Everywhere else got much less. Most ski resorts only got 4 inches.The good news is that it’s cold. Damn cold. Kirkwood is 0F right now and Squaw is reporting 4F right now.
