Lake Tahoe got a bit of a storm yesterday.  The highest forecasted snow totals were in the 10 inch range and Sugar Bowl is reporting that.  Everywhere else got much less.  Most ski resorts only got 4 inches.

The good news is that it’s cold.  Damn cold.  Kirkwood is 0F right now and Squaw is reporting 4F right now.  Tahoe isn’t forecasted to have temperatures above freezing until Monday.  That’s incredible for here.  Ski resorts are going to be able to perform snowmaking 24 hours a day all this week.

Very cold in Tahoe this week.

Squaw should have the Red Dog chairlift open by Friday or Saturday.

There is also another storm headed to Tahoe this weekend and NOAA is calling for at least 14 inches of snow…

  1. I am in a lease at the Condos on Chalet drive @ Alpine Meadows and there was a good six inches at 6850″ @ 6 pm when we got back from playing around at Squaw and closer to a foot up top from the rumors I heard.

Got an opinion? Let us know...
