Videos are in, statues have been gilded, and outfits are being prepared as you read this. And, if you haven’t already, it’s probably about time you started getting your outfit together for the 3rd annual Shreddit Showdown presented by Granite Chief. What is the Shreddit Showdown, you ask? Well, it’s an annual ski-movie edit contest featuring excellent season edits from local skiers around the Tahoe area, as well as skiers from all over the country. You can check out the great videos and vote for your favorites here.
This Thursday, March 24th, at 7 pm Granite Chief will be hosting a red carpet premiere and awards ceremony to highlight the best of the best. The event will take place at the Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema in Tahoe City. Complimentary champagne and snacks will be available, as well as drinks for the kids, so bring the whole family. Make sure you’re dressed to the nines, as there will be a costume contest with one man and one woman being awarded the “Best Worst-Dressed” ski bum in Tahoe. Along with that dubious honor, each winner will receive a $250 gift certificate from prAna. The dress code is loose, but pseudo-fancy and ridiculous ski clothing is highly encouraged, and will only up your chances of winning!
Come cheer on your friends as they compete to take home one of the coveted Shreddy trophies. Now that Leo finally got his trophy, it’s wide open! So please join us for this free event on Thursday as we celebrate all the great moments this season had to offer. It’s going to be a great party, and certainly one you don’t want to miss. Plus, how often do you get to cheer on your friends as they compete on the big screen?
More information on the event can be found here. Go ahead and RSVP, and don’t forget to invite your friends!
