The Town of Mammoth Lakes issued an Evacuation Warning on March 16, 2023, for snow-damaged properties that pose a potential threat to life and property.

Be aware that several structures throughout the Town of Mammoth Lakes have collapsed or experienced significant structural damage. On 17th March 2023, two structures were Red Tagged, displacing several local families. If you have not shoveled your roof – do so now! The threat to public safety is extremely high.

To report structural damage or to assist in determining whether your property is safe, please call (760) 965-3629 NOW to talk to Town staff or complete the Winter Storm Damage Assessment Form that will assess your property for risk.

The Evacuation Warning is in place for those properties that have experienced significant structural damage from excessive snow. If you see broken or fractured structural members, such as roof rafters and beams, or deformed roof or wall surfaces, please evacuate your property immediately and call 9-1-1.

A temporary emergency evacuation shelter has been set up at the Mammoth Middle School (1600 Meridian Blvd.) gymnasium.

Be safe, all!
