Treble Cone ski resort on New Zealand’s south island has been going off the past week and will continue to go off this week.  Treble Cone got the most snow in New Zealand out of the latest storm and they have the most snow forecast from the incoming storm this week.

They just got 25cms (10″) of snow in the past 24 hours and another 24cms (9.5″) is forecast by Thursday.

Treble Cone has a 101-83cm (33-40″0 snowpack right meow.

Humans have been skiing and riding Treble Cone hard in the past week.  With the new snow, they’re only gonna be charging harder!

Avalanche danger is currently rated at “CONSIDERABLE“, the warning that the most people die under.  A skier was injured in an avalanche near the Remarkables ski resort yesterday.  

“There’s been a rain crust sitting there with a persistent deep slab layer”. -New Zealand Mountain Safety Council, yesterday
