Vail Resorts’ Breckenridge Ski Area, CO, will open as scheduled tomorrow (Friday 12th November) with around 50-acres of terrain on Peak 8. Access to Peak 8 will be from the BreckConnect Gondola, which will start turning at 8 am.

Both the Colorado SuperChair and 5-Chair will open at 8:30 am Friday, serving two runs, 4 O’Clock, and Springmeier. Opening day festivities include free waffles and DJ Cat bringing the tunes.

Vail Mountain also plans to open on Friday as scheduled, despite limited snowmaking opportunities over the last couple of weeks.

However, Colorado could see some snow Thursday night, which would definitely make a difference to opening day.

Vail will open with 70-acres, two runs, Ramshorn and Swingsville, accessed via Chair 4. To get to Chair 4, riders will have to take Gondola One 2,000-feet up the mountain and will also have to download the gondola leave. Lifts will be loaded at full capacity.

Breck and Vail follow Wolf Creek (weekends only), Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, and Keystone as Colorado’s open resorts.
