Ski Utah has released a reel showcasing the insane winter Utah experienced last season and all the snowfall records broken. 13 out of 15 ski areas broke their all-time snowfall records, with Alta coming out on top at over 900″ of snow from October 1-May 1. Check out the absurd statistics:
- 13 out of 15 resorts beat all-time snowfall records
- 10 out of 15 resorts had their longest season ever
- 200+ days of skiing/riding
- 44 Utah Powder Days (12″ or more in 24hrs)
Along with Ski Utah’s summation of snowfall records from this past season, the Utah Avalanche Center published its Annual Report detailing how Utah reached 219% of its average snowpack, with 92 people caught in avalanches and three killed, along with several other eye-opening statistics.
