For those there, Sunday’s closing day at Alta Ski Area, UT, will live long in the memory.

Almost three feet of snow fell over the weekend. SnowBrains was there on Saturday after 15″ of fresh snow, and it was all-time. We can only imagine how good it was with another foot or more on top the following day.
Alta finished the season with 440″ of snow and a 110″ base. On Tuesday, the area reopened to uphill skiers, so for those prepared to earn their turns, that powder is still there. And neighbor Snowbird plans on remaining open through May as long as conditions allow.
