The 2016 – 2017 season at Kirkwood was steep and deep! Frequent Atmospheric River Events and cool temperatures lead to some incredible conditions this winter. It’s hard to beat a season like this, but we are thinking next year could be even better.

It was a fantastic winter. The only thing that would’ve made this winter better would be to have Kirkwood close last out of the Vail Resorts (April 30th) instead of being the first to close (April 16th). At least the backcountry is going off around the Wood right now.
You know what, I’m very much innicled to agree.
