This frightening video captures the moment a huge avalanche stops just short of burying this group as they set up camp on Mount Everest.
Part of the trail on the world’s highest mountain collapsed, triggering the slide that headed straight toward them.
The group was doing a summit rotation to acclimate on June 1st, 2021, and had just arrived at Camp 2 from Nutspe mountain.
No one was hurt in the incident. The group inspected the area for safety after the avalanche.
Sixteen Nepali mountaineering guides died in 2014 after being hit by an avalanche on the mountain in what is regarded as the deadliest single accident in the mountain’s history.
