Winter Park, CO Announces Mary Jane to Stay Open an Extra Two Weeks until May 6th

The Mary Jane side of Winter Park resort will remain open until May 6, two weeks past its planned closing for the season, thanks to recent snowfall which has dumped 40″ on the resort in April, and more than 30″ over the previous weekend alone.

This is great news for anybody still wishing to ski moguls or have beach BBQ parties in the legendary slope-side C-Lot.

This is the third year in a row that the Mary Jane’s season has been extended, and the second time in the last three years the season entered into May. Winter Park Resort current boasts the deepest mid-mountain snowpack in all of Colorado, 91″, and has received 280″ of snow this season.

The Winter Park side will close as planned on April 22 with the annual Spring Splash, following which it is expected work on the fabulous new gondola will begin immediately.

Loveland and Arapahoe Basin are the only other ski areas in the state expected to be open into May.

Purgatory Resort, CO previously announced that it was extending its season with the resort open for business on weekends through the end of the month and will be open Friday-Sunday this weekend, then Saturdays and Sundays through April 29. Eldora, CO will remain open until April 22, a week past its planned closing date.
