Scintillating Spring Skiing @ Mammoth | Conditions Report: The past two days at Mammoth ski resort in California have been spring paradise. Huge park jumps, small park jumps, skiing from 11,000 feet, slushy bumps, perfect groomers, 3,000-vertical foot runs, Glen Plake and Julia Mancuso sitings, and a lot of mountain open. Yesterday and the day before Mammoth had a stiff breeze on the upper mountain that kept things from getting too soft. It was good-for-you skiing with some great chalky snow off chair 23 all day both days. The upper mountain didn’t get too soft all day due to the wind.
